"That the birds of worry and care fly over you head, this you cannot change, but that they build nests in your hair, this you can prevent."
-Chinese Proverb

A small amount of worry is normal and generally healthy - it will keep you aware and is even related to care. But do not let this worry overpower your ability to think clearly! Once you have finished what you are able to during a problem, let your worry dissipate. Realize that you have done what you can, and that your part is finished. You can do more to affect the outcome of the situation. It is then important to be content with whatever outcome may result. Know that you can only do so much. Once that is done, you can only sit back and watch the rest unfold.

"When you come to the end of all the light you know, and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown, faith is knowing that one of two things shall happen: Either you will be given something solid to stand on or you will be taught to fly."
-Edward Teller

One living in complete faith is able to live in the total absence of fear. If one believes that everything happens for a reason, that an individual's actions constructs his or her future, and that people will get what they deserve, then one will know what is to come in the future. If one stays on the righteous path, then fear becomes irrelevant.

"The rule for us all is perfectly simple. Do not waste time bothering whether you 'love' your neighbor; act as if you did. As soon as we do this we find one of the great secrets. When you are behaving as if you loved someone, you will presently come to love him."
-C. S. Lewis

The goal is complete love. At first, start showing care to others by performing small actions, even as simple as saying hello. Remember that complete love is universal - do not exclude anyone from receiving this amity, even strangers you may cross or enemies you may have. Live in the now and judge not. Build upon these actions slowly but consistently. Go out of your way to be of help and spread happiness. Be constantly trying to think of the welfare of others just as much as or more than your own. Once enough effort has been put into the goal, your mind will open and take a hold of the positivity that results from it. Giving will become a constant crave. Personal sacrifice will become a willing habit. In the end, you will surely have love and respect for others regardless of the feelings they may have for you.

"Stress is not what happens to us. It's our response TO what happens. And RESPONSE is something we can choose."
-Maureen Killoran

Remembering that everything is a choice, let us look at our reaction to stress. Stress is a common emotion felt after encountering a dilemma. Negative stress leads to anger, worry, fear, and frustration. An individual will need to deal with a complication regardless of his or her emotions resulting from it. Therefore, creating any sort of negative emotion is unnecessary and will only make the situation more difficult. One should remain positive and calm during his or her troubles. It is important not to focus on the uncontrollable factors, as they only encourage negative stress. Adjust your focus to the factors that you do have control of and be patient with them. Make smart decisions and be content with the results you are able to accomplish.

"You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of. You don't have charge of the constellations, but you do have charge of whether you read, develop new skills, and take new classes. "
-Jim Rohn

There is one thing that everything in your life has in common: It is in your life. Therefore, take responsibility for it. If you are a part of something or become involved in a situation, even involuntarily, your association is not a coincidence. Your involvement happens for a reason. Problems in life will effect more than just one person. Though you may not be the central individual associated in a problem, your introduction to it constitutes your involvement. You are being effected, and you have a choice. Do your part. Take action and do what you are able to, to bring out the best of the situation.

"Nothing is more important than reconnecting with your bliss. Nothing is as rich. Nothing is more real."
-Deepak Chopra

Life is not a race. It is not a competition. Your goal should not be to be better than someone else; it is not your job to judge. Your goal is personal. Strive in life to connect with your bliss, your own mindset of perfect happiness. Only then can true prosperity be experienced. Absolute sanctity will bring peace not only unto oneself, but also unto those surrounding.

"Achievement seems to be connected with action. Successful men and women keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don't quit."
-Conrad Hilton

The realization that every person makes mistakes is essential. In the mind of a positive thinker, mistakes that are encountered are very important in life. Therefore, mistakes should be welcomed with understanding and respect rather than corrupted with frustration and anger. In life, one will be tested repeatedly with similar experiences. Learn your lesson the first time and advance in life. Instead of ignoring and forgetting about the experience, use the error that was made now to help with uniform problems that will be faced in the future. A mistake is only regrettable until it is learned from.

"I remember criticizing him for leaving my car door unlocked. He asked me if I believed my mother whenever she would tell me that 'all things happen for a reason.' I told him that I did. 'Listen to her, then,' he responded. 'Change your vibes. Stop creating reasons for your car to get broken into.'"

What goes around comes around - You reap what you sow - Karma. How you deal with, think about, and act towards others will define what you face in the future. Your thoughts and actions will affect your life. The basic concepts of treat others how you wish to be treated and love thy neighbor as thyself are of utter importance. I have personally put these theories to the test in my life, and I say this: Your actions define you. When you regard others with value and respect, you will be happier. Your life will be easier. When love is shared, love will be returned.

"If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment."
-Marcus Aurelius

Everything is a choice. Even our emotions, our reactions to our surrounding experiences, are our result to determine. Go throughout your day aware and in control of your being. Improve yourself with your everyday challenges and your reactions to them. Non-aggressive, patient, and consistently aware is the goal to try for. Don't let the little things bring you down, for it is only you that can welcome them to do so. Realize that a life absent of inconveniences is nonexistent. Stay positive and change what has been trained to be your so-called natural emotions.

In life, it's all about love. Be positively contagious to your peers. Spread the positive vibrations, they are infectious. When someone is down, bring them a sense of comfort. Give them a listening ear. Once you have mastered this action, you will notice others doing the same for you. For true succession, we must all work together and help one another.
